and BONES FOR LIFE
“from the impossible to the possible, from the possible to the easy, from the easy to the elegant” Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais
The Feldenkrais Method of Movement and Somatic Education is one of the original modern bodymind practices…
… and remains one of the most potent holistic disciplines available today. Hundreds of thousands of people around the world have benefitted from the Feldenkrais Method since its origins in the 1940s. Its practitioners have been utilizing and testing the now commonly-understood principles of neuroplastic change since decades before the term even existed. Bones for Life is a more recent innovation informed by Feldenkrais principles, with special emphasis on posture and walking.
For women in the Renaissance Stage of Life, Feldenkrais offers something particularly valuable: a way back into the body, on the body’s own terms. Gentle, non-invasive, and endlessly adaptable — it meets you exactly where you are.
How the Feldenkrais Method can benefit You:
- Provide a reliable and pleasurable way to regulate your nervous system
- Contribute dramatically to your self-awareness and confidence
- Produce remarkable, fast improvements in uprightness and movement
- Offer fresh approaches to better balance
- Deepen your breathing
- Restore mobility after surgeries, accidents, or periods of inactivity
- Improve flexibility, especially if you prefer an alternative to yoga
The Feldenkrais Method is accessible to beginners, while also valuable and challenging for sophisticated movers (dancers, athletes and yoga practitioners). Lessons are available lying down, seated on the floor, standing, seated in a chair, and several other positions. There is a vast catalog to draw from, making it possible to address your specific needs, especially if you’ re working with an experienced practitioner. Lessons are often touch-assisted by your Feldenkrais practitioner.
Meriah Kruse has been a Feldenkrais Practitioner since 1999 and a Bones for Life Teacher since 2012. Prior to that she was a massage therapist — over 30 years of working with bodies, restoring ease, and helping people move through the world with greater confidence and pleasure.
She is currently available for:
- Individual sessions by appointment (limited availability)
- Group Introductory Workshops or Lecture-Demonstrations for yoga studios, physical therapy and Pilates studios, educational institutions, fitness centers, health-related practices, and conferences

“I look forward to hearing from you.”
